United by Song 2021
On September 24, United Way donors from around Atlantic Canada gathered in board rooms and around computer screens, eagerly awaiting the first-ever Atlantic-wide United by Song.
They weren’t disappointed.

Hosted by the dynamic drag queen duo Dyna Might and Deva Station, the virtual event featured a storyteller and songwriter from each of the four Atlantic provinces. Eli, Sylvie, Mike and Don each spoke of their life-changing experiences with United Way-funded programs. Songwriters Mike Ross, Émilie Landry, General Khan and Ana Luísa Ramos transformed their stories into compassionate, emotional, and impactful original songs.
The performances left nearly everyone – including hosts Dyna Might and Deva Station – wiping away tears. These four stories represent just a fraction of the people impacted every year by United Way. Thanks to the generosity of United Way donors, over 97,000 peoples’ lives were impacted by United Ways across Atlantic Canada last year.
