United Way Halifax Community Fund

Investing in our community’s areas of greatest need to ensure bright futures for everyone in HRM.

Our Community Fund powers a large network of local community programs and impacts lives locally.

Thanks to your generous donations, we’re investing in programs to support people in HRM who live in poverty or are marginalized. These programs are supporting community members to navigate a housing and cost of living crisis, and to find social connection, support and belonging.

Your donations to the community fund contribute to:

  • $1.32 million invested locally
  • 35 programs in HRM
  • 19,407 people directly supported each year

In addition, we’re investing in creating solutions like affordable housing, advocating for change and increasing the capacity of the social impact sector.
