Volunteer
There are countless ways you can dedicate your time and talent to help build a stronger community.

Would you like to pitch in and lend a helping hand?
We’re always on the lookout for people with skills that could help us and our many community partners.
Our volunteer opportunities vary throughout the year. For example, a volunteer could sell 50/50 tickets for fundraiser, be a delivery driver for in-kind donation drop-offs, or help us pull off a special event.
If you have a specific skill or interest — from accounting to construction to photography — please contact Peter Ordinelli (he / him) at pordinelli@unitedwayhalifax.ca.
Day of Caring
Employer-supported volunteer efforts are becoming more common all the time. One of the many benefits of partnering with United Way is that we can provide meaningful ways for your colleagues or employees to give back.
Day of Caring is a signature offering for United Way Halifax’s corporate partners. We match teams of volunteers with hands-on projects in their communities. There is a wide range of projects, depending on the needs of the participating local community organizations. From landscaping to preparing and serving meals, the one thing we know for sure is that you’ll be having fun while doing good.
