Agencies
United Way and Agencies
The 2011 Agency Results document provides a summary of each agency's measurable outcomes.
United Way improves social well being so that neighbourhoods are thriving supportive and safe places, everyone can have a healthy life and participate in the community and partners share knowledge, resources, skills and services. Funding agencies is one feature of United Way's role in community and one way to actively support and promote a stronger community.
United Way funding is available to agencies to support programs that build on strengths and show a measurable difference for participants.
Currently 56 funded community agencies in HRM . Each agency has been reviewed by a panel of community volunteers and is a strong fit with United Way's funding principles.
