Donating to United Way's Community Fund gives donors the opportunity to support a diverse number of local community based agencies as well as neighbourhood initiatives to strengthen the role of residents. 

Funding Panel volunteers previously active in allocating funding to agencies are currently being replaced by Strategic Councils. The role of the Councils is to develop detailed objectives relating to four strategies that will help people move from Poverty to Possibility and achieve Healthy People, Healthy Communities.

The research conducted to guide the process can be found in Community Quest. United Way is committed to community impact and has developed outcomes that align with the four strategies.

Agencies will continue to be funded during the transition.
