Funding to move people from Poverty to Possibility, and support Healthy People, Healthy Communities
United Way has always funded local organizations and groups to create community impact. Currently, community volunteers are developing implementation plans under four strategies: Opportunities, Social Capital, Neighbourhoods and Healthy Living, to help people move from Poverty to Possibility and achieve Healthy People, Healthy Communities. Community volunteers will review and allocate funding to community groups for April 2013.
The research conducted to guide the process can be found in Community Quest. United Way is committed to community impact and has developed outcomes that align with the four strategies.
If you are looking for funding for a community initiative, read what you need to know and then proceed to steps to apply to fill out an Expression of Interest. The deadline to submit an Expression of Interest for this round of funding is September 21st, 2012.
