United Way is focusing resources on two issues that impact our community: Poverty and Health.

 Community Quest  summarizes the research that has provided direction and focus for volunteeers and staff  helping us define our direction.

Changes that have already been made include information sessions with agency staff and their board members, funding extensions for agencies whose contract expires in 2012, strategies developed to support work that moves people from Poverty to Possibility and Healthy People, Healthy Communities, recruitment of volunteers to populate four Strategic Councils, (defining detailed action plans to achieve outcomes related to the strategies) and  staff appointments to support the Councils.
