Youth Volunteering
Interested in volunteering in the community but don't know where to start? Follow these steps:

1). Volunteer on the Youth Grants Selection Team. You will help select the community projects that get funded through our Youth Grants program! We also need help promoting and fundraising. This awesome volunteer opportunity runs from June to the end of November, and you can start volunteering with us any time! Contact Emma C. to ask question or to let her know you are interested.
2) Want to make your own community project happen? Apply for a Youth Grant and get up to $500 to do a community project! Check out all the details and get an application form here.
3). If you are looking to volunteer in the community then think about the specifics of what you really want to do. What are your interests? Do you want a hands on or a behind the scenes job? Where do you live and how easily can you get around?
4). Email or call Emma Cooper after you have given some thought to what you want to do. Together we can figure out what you can do on the Youth Grants Selection Team or what community agency might be the right one for you to call.
We can give you some hints on good places to check out since we are connected to lots of great community organizations. It is important to remember, however, that the folks here at United Way can only suggest organizations that might be a good fit for you; we are not an official volunteer placement agency.
