Leadership Donors individually contribute more than $1000 a year to United Way. Their generosity is extraordinary and represents 25% of all giving to United Way.

Although it is often assumed that only those at the most senior levels and making very large salaries are Leadership donors, we know that Leadership Giving is not about either job title or salary level. There are many reasons for giving at all levels beginning with a wish to make a difference. The impact of a Leadership Gift is significant and more possible than many might first assume.

“I have often heard that leaders take people where they would not go on their own. Leadership Giving is all about making a difference in our community. It takes many forms and comes from the heart. United Way Leaders give $1,000 or more every year so they can help make this a great community for everyone. In 2007, 953 leadership donors contributed a total of $1.4 million to make our community strong and supportive. You can join this group and be a United Way leader!”
