Day of Caring
Day of Caring is a unique opportunity for volunteers from workplaces that support United Way, to participate in a team building experience while helping a community agency. Employees complete painting, repairing or landscaping projects together and learn more about the agency they are helping. Skill level for volunteers is minimal but the impact of completed projects is huge!
Projects range from:
- Painting, interior and exterior
- Landscaping and yard clean up
- Simple renovations to accommodate a person with disability
- Providing training workshops
- Installing sports equipment
- Moving office equipment
Day of Caring projects can take place throughout the year. United Way organizes spring and fall projects with agencies. Alternative datesthat fit with organizational schedules can also be arranged.
