DESCRIPTION:Each year\, IABC Maritime Canada partners with United Way Halifax to offer a communications panel. As part of our partnership\, it is made available for free to agencies and partners in the social sector. This year it’s coming up on October 21\, 2020 9 a.m.-12 p.m. \nThis year’s virtual event will feature communications professionals from different sectors discussing how they have navigated crisis communications during COVID-19. Join us for a deep dive into the pandemic’s impact on organizations in fields such as non-profit\, health care\, real estate and public relations. \nOur four speakers have extensive communications experience and will share lessons learned\, challenges\, successes\, and advice from the pandemic’s first wave and insights on how be ready for a second wave. \nSpeakers and their respective sectors: \n\nNon-profit: Lydia Philip\, Black Business Initiative\nPublic relations: Karen White\, NATIONAL\nHealth care: Deidre Taylor\, Nova Scotia Health\nReal estate: Tanya Taylor White\, Nova Scotia Association of Realtors\n\n  \nThe event is free for United Way agencies and community partners.
