Gifts of Cash

A cash donation is the most direct and simple way of making your charitable contribution. Your financial gift is immediately available to support United Way of Halifax Region and the social causes within your community.

Leadership Giving, United Way of Halifax Region’s fastest growing fundraising method, was established for individuals who wish to contribute an annual gift of a minimum $1,000. Gifts of $10,000 or greater are considered Champions and benefactors for this level should contact the Director, Personal Philanthropy  Bonnie Boyd-Read to review your gifting requirements.

Contributions can be made by payroll deductions through the United Way of Halifax Region Workplace Campaign. The total annual gift is tax deductible in the year it is given and appears on your employer issued CRA T4 Form. Please consult your Payroll Administrator to ensure a United Way of Halifax Region Workplace Campaign operates in your workplace.
