Bryce was 10 years old when he first became a member of the Boys and Girls Club of Spryfield. As a new member he seemed to gravitate towards others who encouraged him to get into trouble; he would pick on other children and had many episodes of bad behavior and rowdiness.
Peter Brooksbank is an organized man. When a job needs doing he gets right to it without wasting time. So when his father-in-law recently had his leg amputated, Peter set to work trying to locate services that would make life easier for the 78-year-old man.

A family with three children moved from Rwanda to the Greystone community in Spryfield, Halifax. While wandering the neighborhood one afternoon the three siblings found themselves in a garden provided by The Urban Farm Museum Society of Spryfield. Intrigued by the children their own ages who were planting, watering and caring for different types of flowers, fruits and vegetables the Rwandan children stuck around wanting to help out.
